Maryam Iqbal is a UK-qualified beauty therapist and professional makeup artist who brings international expertise to Islamabad, Pakistan. With over eight years of hands-on experience in the UK beauty industry, she holds multiple qualifications and diplomas from The Manchester College.
Guided by a vision to modernise and elevate beauty standards in Pakistan, Maryam established La Miraj to set new benchmarks in quality, professionalism, and client care. She remains committed to keeping pace with the ever-evolving global beauty industry and continuously upgrades her skills to offer the latest techniques and treatments.
At La Miraj, Maryam places clients at the heart of every service. Each treatment is customised to individual needs, ensuring every client leaves feeling satisfied, confident, and eager to return. Extending her passion beyond the salon, she is also preparing to launch a dedicated makeup and hair academy, which will soon offer a wide range of professional training courses.
Maryam’s curiosity and drive to explore new ideas fuel her creativity, yet her true passion lies in transforming Pakistan’s beauty industry through innovation, education, and international standards.

Skill Development
Alongside managing Salon La Miraj, Maryam Iqbal actively contributes to skill development by teaching and sharing the latest makeup techniques through a Federal Government-supported programme. This initiative operates under the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), the official public-sector body for technical and vocational education and training.
Currently, Maryam is training around 30 female students, equipping them with the practical skills and confidence needed to pursue self-employment after completing their training.
